1,000 people get free medical check-ups, AI is about to support grassroots healthcare

In the Comprehensive Healthcare Access program, about 1,000 people will receive free medical examinations from doctors, and many grassroots health workers will be trained to use AI support.

According to the Bac Ninh Provincial Electronic Information Portal, on August 2, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and the Bac Ninh Department of Health organized the Comprehensive Medical Access program - medical examination for a healthier Vietnam.

The Comprehensive Healthcare Access Program is an initiative between the Central Youth Union and the Ministry of Health to improve the quality of healthcare for people through the application of technology and advanced medical solutions.

In particular, grassroots medical staff will be trained to use artificial intelligence (AI) in examination, screening, disease control, etc.

Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, shared that the Comprehensive Healthcare Access Program and the Smart Healthcare Initiative for the Community not only examine patients, donate equipment or provide health consultation, but also aim at proactive healthcare, integrating smart technology.

The Deputy Minister of Health added that with the participation of hundreds of doctors and medical staff, about 1,000 people were examined, consulted, and screened at grassroots health facilities, in accordance with the direction of the Party and State - taking grassroots health as the root, digital transformation as the lever, and periodic health check-ups for the whole population as a fundamental step.

At the launching ceremony, the organizers also presented 10 gifts to families with preferential policies and difficult circumstances and 10 gifts to students with difficult circumstances who strive to study well in the province.

The Vietnam Young Physicians Association and a business donated equipment to 100% of local public health facilities, including management systems and medical equipment for end-to-end patient health management.

On the same day, Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan and the delegation offered flowers and incense at the Monument to the heroic martyrs of Tu Son ward and visited and presented gifts to Heroic Vietnamese Mother Nguyen Thi Ngan, 105 years old, residing in Vu Ninh ward, Bac Ninh province.

She had an only son, martyr Nguyen Ngoc Khue, who fought and died heroically in the resistance war against America to save the country.
