The Ho Chi Minh City Student Futsal Tournament is organized by the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City University and Professional Sports Association and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry. This is the third year the student futsal tournament has been organized regionally, aiming to create a national futsal playground for students and young people and further promote this sport.
12 teams, 4 groups
The tournament took place from November 4 to 12, with 12 teams from the following units: People's Security University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, RMIT University Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City Open University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law,FPT University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology, Saigon University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking, Swinburne University Vietnam Alliance Program.
12 teams are divided into 4 groups, competing in a round robin format to determine rankings. The top 2 teams in each group will advance to the quarter-finals. 20 matches will take place at the gymnasium of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry (Linh Xuan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

Mr. Vu Hai Quang, Deputy General Director of VOV, Head of the tournament's steering committee, said: "The professionalism and prestige of the tournament are affirmed through the brand of. When VOV started organizing the student futsal tournament, the goal was not only to create a simple sports playground, but also to contribute to building a comprehensive development environment for students - a place to practice physical fitness along with team spirit and the will to overcome difficulties. Through each season, student futsal has become a bridge to help spread the passion for football among young people, while discovering and nurturing many talents for Vietnamese futsal."
Looking back on the past journey, from Can Tho, Tay Nguyen, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City... the student futsal seasons have left a special mark. Each team not only represents the school, but also carries within it the pride, the desire to conquer and the fair-play spirit of youth. The fiery stands, the breathtaking football plays, the cheers of the students, all create an atmosphere that anyone who has witnessed will never forget.

Associate Professor, Dr. Chau Vinh Huy, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City University and Professional Sports Association, Principal of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports, Member of the Steering Committee of the tournament said: "Futsal with its fast, technical and dramatic characteristics is very suitable for the school environment: moderate space, short playing time, high team spirit and especially the opportunity for students to demonstrate their bravery, skills and creativity in each handling phase. We determined that this is not just a football tournament, a practical sports playground for the Ho Chi Minh City student community towards the 43rd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day".
Dr. Tran Dinh Ly, Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, member of the tournament's Steering Committee, said: "Futsal is a popular sport at universities, academies, and colleges across the country. Usually, each school has at least one club/team that regularly participates. Internal student football tournaments and friendly matches are held with high frequency and diverse forms and scales. With a tradition of achieving high achievements in sports competitions in general and futsal in particular, the school is very excited that this year we will become the host unit to welcome students from other schools to compete. With a well-invested gymnasium system and the school's existing sports infrastructure, we will coordinate well with VOV to make the tournament a success. In recent times, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry has built a standard physical training space, serving the diverse needs of students, to enhance connectivity, develop skills, and especially create a space for training. physical training, as well as providing mental entertainment for learners".
