On March 28, the Provincial Council of the Young Pioneers organized the 17th Congress of Uncle Ho's Good Children in 2025. Attending were comrades: Trieu Dinh Le, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Be Thanh Tinh, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; comrades Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, National Assembly Delegation; representatives of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers; leaders of provincial departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations, along with 150 delegates of Uncle Ho's Good Children representing children in the whole province.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, with the attention and close direction of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee, the work of the Young Pioneers and the children's movement in the province has developed comprehensively, achieving many outstanding achievements. With the active activities of 307 teams, the efforts of 88,886 team members, teenagers, and children, many meaningful movements, new, creative, and useful activity models have been deployed, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere at the Young Pioneers' bases.
The teams organized 1,067 "Repaying gratitude" activities; visited Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids, martyrs' families, and families with meritorious services; supported over 90,000 children in difficult circumstances with thousands of gifts and scholarships; built 4 "Red Scarf Houses", 3 "Happy Houses", 10 "Beautiful Schools for Children", 3 "Kitchens for Children", 1 "Boarding House for Children"; 2 "Toilets for Children"... with a total value of the projects and tasks of over 20 billion VND.
The whole province has 2,197 children honored as "Brave heroes of a thousand good deeds" at the union level, 65 children honored at the district level, 31 children honored at the provincial level; over 200,000 children honored as Uncle Ho's Good Children at all levels; 70 children honored as "Little Soldiers of Dien Bien " at the provincial level. Every year, over 18,000 children register for the "Preparatory Team Member" program, 36,802 children are admitted to the Team. Many children achieve high results in provincial and national level exams, overcoming difficulties to excel in their studies...
Speaking at the congress, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trieu Dinh Le praised the efforts and achievements of children and the Young Pioneers in the province in the past time. In the new context, Party committees, authorities, Youth Union and Young Pioneers organizations need to continue to pay more attention and take better care of the cause of protecting, caring for and educating children; build a strong Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers organization in both organization and operation; focus on training and improving skills and expertise for the team in charge of the Young Pioneers; strengthen socialization work, mobilize resources to support children in special circumstances, children of families with preferential policies, etc.
I hope that the young pioneers and children will constantly strive to study, practice, be creative, make efforts to overcome difficulties, constantly cultivate compassion, obey their parents and teachers, and carry out well the "5 teachings of Uncle Ho". Continuing and promoting the revolutionary tradition of generations of fathers and grandfathers, contributing to building the homeland of Cao Bang to become more and more beautiful and civilized, together with children across the country to build our country to become more and more decent, more and more beautiful, standing shoulder to shoulder with friends from all over the world as beloved Uncle Ho instructed.
At the congress, the Provincial Council of the Young Pioneers commended and rewarded 150 good children of Uncle Ho at the provincial level; awarded 35 scholarships to team members and children with difficult circumstances who excelled in their studies and actively participated in the activities of the Young Pioneers.
The congress passed a resolution letter, expressing the aspirations, will, determination to practice, study and strive of the team members, teenagers and children in the whole province.
