5pm today is the deadline for changing your 10th grade entrance exam wishes in Ho Chi Minh City

Previously, from May 14, after the Ho Chi Minh City Departmentof Education and Training announced the number of candidates registering for their first choice to enter grade 10 of high school in the 2025-2026 school year, students can adjust their choices if needed.

To take the 10th grade entrance exam, candidates can register for a maximum of 8 wishes, including: 3 regular wishes, 2 specialized wishes and 3 integrated wishes.

This year, Ho Chi Minh City has more than 76,000 students out of a total of about 88,000 students in grade 9 registered to take the entrance exam to public grade 10. Thus, there are about 12,000 students who did not register for the exam.

Public high schools will enroll more than 70,000 students. Thus, about 6,000 students will fail the 10th grade entrance exam this year.

The 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City will take place on June 6 and 7.

Candidates will take 3 subjects: Math, Literature (120 minutes/subject) and Foreign Language (90 minutes, according to the first foreign language being studied at school). Candidates registering for specialized schools or integrated classes will take additional specialized or integrated subjects (150 minutes).

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that depending on the actual number of applications and the needs of the schools, the department will consider additional enrollment at high schools that are still lacking many quotas.
