According to People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui, President of the Vietnam Association of Performing Arts, the festival is an activity to preserve and promote the values of performing arts, especially traditional theatre, in the face of strong impacts of the market mechanism. This is also an activity to honor stage artists of all ages who have explored, created and aspired to contribute in the process of working and creating art; it is an opportunity for artists of many art forms to exchange, learn and share experiences in order to create many good excerpts and roles, meeting the increasing demand for art enjoyment of the people in the integration period.
At the festival, in one night of performance, the audience can enjoy many traditional art forms with many creative expressions, demonstrating the professional performance skills of stage artists.
“The festival of excerpts is also an opportunity for the Vietnam Association of Performing Arts and art management agencies to assess the current situation of performing artists in the performing arts, thereby finding solutions in training and fostering human resources…” - the leader of the Vietnam Association of Performing Arts emphasized.
