Over the past few days, hundreds of people and functional forces of Yen Hoa commune ( Nghe An ) have been mobilized to build a temporary bamboo bridge across Huoi Nguyen stream. According to the Chairman of Yen Hoa commune People's Committee, this is a temporary bridge to replace Trung Thang bridge which was washed away by floodwaters in early October.

Mr. Dau Duc Truyen, Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Hoa Commune (Nghe An) said that up to now, the entire Yen Hoa Commune still has 312 households in Xop Cop, Xop Tat and Vang Lin villages that are isolated because the vital bridge in Trung Thang village was washed away by flood. In recent days, people in the above villages (especially students) have had to use rafts to cross the river to go to school, which is potentially risky and dangerous.

Mr. Dau Duc Truyen said that Trung Thang bridge crosses Huoi Nguyen stream on DH1 route to 3 villages Vang Lin, Xop Coc, Ban Tat. This is the place where more than 300 households with thousands of people live. After Trung Thang bridge was washed away by flood due to the impact of storm No. 10, the travel of people and students was very difficult and potentially dangerous. The Party Committee and government mobilized people to join hands with the commune to build a temporary bridge for people to temporarily travel before the new bridge was built.

It is expected that this temporary bridge will be completed in the next few days to relieve the isolation and separation of the affected villages. However, this is only a temporary solution. In the long term, the commune hopes that the superiors will consider and soon provide funding to build a solid bridge in Trung Thang village.
