83 athletes compete at the 2025 Tuyen Quang Province National Wrestling Championship

VHO - On the morning of November 8, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 Tuyen Quang Provincial Ethnic Wrestling Tournament, with the participation of 83 athletes from 11 units and clubs in the area.

The tournament took place at the Youth Culture and Sports Center Gymnasium of Tuyen Quang province.

The 2025 Tuyen Quang Provincial Traditional Wrestling Championship took place from November 8 to 11, with the participation of 83 athletes from 11 units and clubs in Tuyen Quang province. The athletes competed in 11 weight categories, regardless of age group.

The tournament is an important sports activity in the system of competitions organized annually by the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department to evaluate the quality of training, coaches, and athletes of provinces, cities, and industries. It is an opportunity for young athletes to compete, exchange, learn, accumulate experience, improve their performance, and at the same time review their strength to select outstanding athletes for the national team and youth team.

The tournament has the participation of 83 athletes from 11 units and clubs in Tuyen Quang province.

For many years, wrestling has been chosen by Tuyen Quang province as one of the five key sports for investment and development. This is also a sport that attracts many age groups to participate.

The 2025 Tuyen Quang Provincial Ethnic Wrestling Championship was organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province to promote the movement of practicing ethnic wrestling in the area, contributing to improving the quality of the mass movement to exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho in the period of 2021-2030, associated with the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life to create a joyful and healthy atmosphere, improve health to serve study, work and production.
