Students are taught the following contents: Concepts and principles of family medicine (FMM), history and development of FMM in Vietnam, family doctor models in countries; FMM specialties, comprehensive care, coordinated care, continuous care, methods of implementing continuous care. Approach to diagnosing hypertension (HTN) at FMM clinics, approach to diagnosing new cases of HTN, diagnosing the cause of HTN, diagnosing target organ damage due to HTN, stratifying cardiovascular risk in HTN patients. Management of lipid disorders in patients with type 2 diabetes; overview, stratifying cardiovascular risk, treatment, solving clinical cases, actual situation of treating dyslipidemia in diabetic patients, treatment of dyslipidemia in diabetic patients, long-term management plan... Screening for early detection of disease according to FMM, screening for early detection of disease at outpatient clinics according to diabetes.
The training course aims to improve professional capacity, knowledge of family medicine and management of some non-communicable diseases for the military and civilian medical forces in the province. Promote the combined strength of both the military and civilian medical forces in the province in strengthening grassroots health care, caring for and protecting the health of people, soldiers, policy beneficiaries, families with meritorious services to the revolution in mountainous areas, ethnic minority areas, border areas, and key areas of national defense and security. Create a solid foundation for building local medical and military potential in the province's defense areas, contributing to strengthening national defense and security, and maintaining national border sovereignty.
