Agribank Binh Thuan accompanies cashless hospital fee payment

Aiming to improve service quality and contribute to the implementation of the Government's cashless payment policy, on the morning of October 12, Agribank Binh Thuan branch in coordination with Binh Thuan General Hospital officially deployed a cashless hospital fee payment method via dynamic QR and POS.

This activity is possible according to the agreement signed by 3 parties in August 2023, VNPT Binh Thuan Business Center will integrate POS, QRCode and Agribank E-Mobile Banking App into the VNPT-HIS medical examination and treatment management and health insurance payment software system of Binh Thuan General Hospital. Accordingly, the amount to be paid is associated with the hospital fee transaction information, the hospital's account at the bank will be contained in the QR code. People coming for examination only need to log in to the Mobile Banking application of the banks, scan the QR code displayed on the receipt to be paid. Then check, confirm the transaction information and make the transaction quickly without going through the hospital's cashier. Thereby shortening the time for people to see a doctor.

Implementing the signing of a 3-party cooperation agreement, this morning, the cashless hospital fee payment channel was officially launched at Binh Thuan General Hospital.

This morning, many people who came to the Provincial General Hospital for examination and treatment experienced the service of paying hospital fees via dynamic QR, expressing their satisfaction with the convenience of the new payment service. "Previously, when going to the hospital for examination or treatment, my family used cash to pay hospital fees, so I had to wait in line to pay hospital fees, which was time-consuming and tiring. Now, I can scan the QR code very quickly, I don't need to carry a lot of cash on me, but I can pay all medical examination fees at the clinic very conveniently" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Lien - a patient's family member shared.

Cashless payment is an inevitable trend and has been implemented in many fields, and is popular with people, especially young people. “Young people are often afraid to carry cash when going to the doctor because it is easy to lose it. I have taken my child to the Provincial General Hospital for check-ups many times, but today I learned that the hospital has applied cashless payment, I just need to use my phone to scan the QR code to pay for my child's examination fee very quickly and conveniently. This form of payment should be applied in other hospitals to help people save time when visiting the hospital” – Ms. Tran Kieu Dung (Phan Thiet City) shared.

People can quickly pay hospital fees by swiping their POS card or scanning the QR code.

Cashless payment of medical service costs is a measure to help reduce waiting time, minimize risks for relatives and patients, and help medical facilities more conveniently manage patient information and hospital fee revenue, thereby helping to improve the quality of customer service. It is known that the Provincial General Hospital is the first public health unit in the province to implement cashless payment of hospital fees.

With this form, customers coming to Agribank to transact only need to choose a service and sign a single signature without having to write or fill in any information by hand. Opening an account, issuing a card, registering for Agribank services E-Mobile banking, to borrowing capital or depositing money into accounts... are all done very quickly, safely with high accuracy because customer information is "read" by the system via chip and is directly authenticated with the citizen database of the Ministry of Public Security. In addition, Agribank has many policies and solutions to develop new services, functions and utilities in payment using modern technology to meet the increasing needs of customers. These are specific solutions implemented by Agribank to contribute to changing people's payment habits, promoting comprehensive cashless payments in many aspects from commercial activities to public services, from urban to rural areas...

This is also one of the activities to respond to National Digital Transformation Day on October 10, contributing to accelerating the implementation of national digital transformation tasks, raising awareness of the whole society about the role, meaning and benefits of digital transformation.

It is known that by mid-August 2023, Agribank Binh Thuan had 52 ATM/CDM machines operating in all districts, towns and cities in the province, including Phu Quy island district, with a network of 360 card acceptance units, issuing nearly 300,000 ATM cards. The launch of hospital fee payment via QR Code and POS with Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital is a pilot phase for Agribank Binh Thuan branch to widely deploy to districts and towns in the province.
