Agribank gives 10 billion VND in social security, together with the whole country, to support people in flood-affected areas.

Recently, at the Closing Ceremony of the 1st Autumn Fair in 2025, Agribank donated 10 billion VND to people affected by the recent floods. This action demonstrates the spirit of "Banking for the community", political responsibility and commitment of Agribank to accompany the Party and State as a solid bridge, connecting capital flows, production and business with community life.

The first Autumn Fair in 2025 is not only a commercial event but also has strategic significance, an important factor in awakening and promoting the endogenous strength of the Vietnamese economy in the new period. This event has officially marked an important starting point for a series of national trade, investment and cultural promotion activities, opening a new era of promising development. The Autumn Fair is a beautiful symbol of solidarity, creativity and steadfast belief. In difficult times, Vietnamese people still come together, together make good products, build Vietnamese brands, and spread Vietnamese values. This is not only a place for trading goods but also a place where national spirit, humanity and the aspiration for sustainable development meet.

At the closing ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh especially emphasized that, in addition to the task of economic development, closely linking economic development with ensuring social security plays an extremely important role. With that meaning, the Autumn Fair event carries the consistent message "Autumn of hope, sharing love", with profound humanitarian social security activities towards compatriots affected by natural disasters and floods. This affirms the spirit of sharing, solidarity and commitment to sustainable development that businesses and social organizations are working with the Government to realize in the new period. Emphasizing the stature of the nation, the Prime Minister highlighted: "national love and compatriotism are the great endogenous strength for our entire Party, people and army to go further and stronger on the path of prosperous and happy development".

In the general picture of social responsibility, the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development ( Agribank ) continues to make its mark as a leading financial institution in social security work. At the ceremony, representing tens of thousands of staff and employees across the system, comrade Pham Toan Vuong, Member of the Board of Members, General Director of Agribank, presented 10 billion VND, continuing to send to compatriots affected by recent floods. This fund is expected to be a timely resource, directly supporting the restoration of livelihoods, housing, and care for policy families, poor households and students in affected areas.

Not only does this action help people in flood-affected areas to share their difficulties, it also demonstrates the spirit of “Banking for the community”, political responsibility and commitment of Agribank to accompany the Party and State in its role as a solid bridge, connecting capital flows, production and business lines with community life.

Previously, in order to promptly support localities in the North and Central regions that suffered heavy damage due to storms and floods to quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters, stabilize life and production, Agribank donated 5 billion VND to Nghe An province; 5 billion VND to Thai Nguyen province; 1 billion VND to Bac Ninh province. Agribank also allocated 7 billion VND from the Social Security Fund to urgently support localities that were severely affected, including: Hue 2 billion VND; Da Nang 4 billion VND; Quang Ngai 1 billion VND... Since the beginning of 2025, Agribank has spent nearly 60 billion VND on supporting the work of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, out of a total of more than 400 billion VND spent on social security programs nationwide.

Not only directly supporting funding to overcome the consequences of natural disasters for people in flood-affected areas, during the past time, Agribank has also been a pioneer in implementing humane credit policies: reducing loan interest rates, restructuring debts, extending repayment periods for tens of thousands of customers; implementing preferential credit packages to help businesses and production households quickly recover business activities and stabilize their lives.

During the nearly 40 years of construction and development, Agribank has always held a special position in the Vietnamese banking system, being the commercial bank with the widest network, serving tens of millions of customers, playing a key role in the development of the agricultural and rural economy. Along with its economic role, Agribank is also known as a symbol of the spirit of compassion and community.
