Binh Hoa mobilizes people's strength

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Binh Hoa commune Pham Minh Phong said that identifying social security work, caring for the poor and people in difficult circumstances as a regular task, the VFF proactively advised the Party Committee and the government to develop and implement many programs, plans and social security activities, joining hands for the poor. At the same time, strengthening coordination with the government, departments and branches to mobilize people to actively participate and respond to the movement of building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring national defense and security.

Responding to the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Hoa commune actively mobilized funds for the poor and social security funds, with the motto "Open, transparent, timely, and targeted". Over the past 2 years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune mobilized over 9 billion VND to care for, support, and help poor and near-poor households and those in difficult circumstances to improve their lives. The commune built and repaired 65 solidarity houses; visited, gave gifts, supported, and helped over 18,260 people in difficulty and implemented many other social security programs.

One of the outstanding activities of the Binh Hoa Commune Front is the mobilization of social resources to join hands in building and repairing solidarity houses for poor households, near-poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances. Thanks to ensuring fairness, publicity and transparency in implementing housing projects, house construction has always received the support of businesses, philanthropists and the people. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Nhung - Head of the Front Work Committee of An Phu Hamlet said: "In addition to supporting the construction of solid houses, the Front Work Committee of the Hamlet also regularly propagates and mobilizes members and union members to actively help the poor with specific actions, sharing knowledge and business experiences to improve their lives and escape poverty sustainably. Up to now, the hamlet has only 6 poor households and 12 near-poor households...".

Although it has been more than 8 months since she moved into her new house, Ms. Huynh Thi Nguyen, residing in Thanh Phu hamlet, still feels like she has just moved in. The solidarity house of Ms. Nguyen's family has an area of 70 square meters, ensuring the "3 hard" criteria, with a tree frame structure, corrugated iron roof and walls, and tiled floors, with a total cost of 70 million VND. Not only does she have a new house, Ms. Nguyen also receives support from the commune for her livelihood with a sewing job. The job helps her earn an additional income of more than 2 million VND/month from sewing pillowcases and clothes according to customers' requests. "Having a solid house, my husband and I can go to work with peace of mind and take care of our children's education. I thank the local government for their attention in helping my family have a more stable life," Ms. Huynh Thi Nguyen shared.

With the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people check, people benefit" and "skill" in propaganda and mobilization work, cadres, civil servants, party members, union members, association members and people in the commune unanimously contributed working days, donated land for road construction, actively carried out social security work and built other welfare works. Mr. Nguyen Van Nhan, residing in An Hoa hamlet, expressed: "Thanks to the construction of new rural areas, rural roads and bridges have been invested and upgraded solidly, creating favorable conditions for people to travel and students to go to school. People's lives, especially in rural areas, have improved significantly. Everyone is excited about the positive changes in the locality...".

Mr. Pham Minh Phong emphasized: “In the coming time, the locality will continue to promote the tradition of mutual love, promote socialization, mobilize all social resources, expand the target group to effectively implement social security programs, build new rural areas, and care for the material and spiritual life of the people. At the same time, strengthen vocational training, solve employment problems; transfer scientific and technical advances into production, support loans, and motivate the poor to work enthusiastically in production and improve their lives.”
