The Central Highlands' accents resounded at two cultural and political activities as a way to express deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the beloved leader of the nation - on the occasion of the 135th anniversary of his birth.
The “Sen Village Singing” performance, co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People’s Committee of Nghe An province, opened on the evening of May 16, gathering 31 art troupes from across the country. The special performances praising President Ho Chi Minh, praising the love for the homeland and the national cultural identity created a profound and emotional art program.
Dam San General Music and Dance Theater participated in the performance "Sen Village Singing" with 5 unique singing, dancing, and traditional musical instrument performances including: Remembering Uncle Ho's words, Following Uncle Ho's call, You are the belief in certain victory, Uncle Ho's words, The Central Highlands remembers Uncle Ho.
The program was elaborately staged with an engaging narrative, starting with the event of Uncle Ho sending a letter to the Congress of Southern Ethnic Minorities held in Pleiku on April 19, 1946.
Singer Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong - Program Editor - emphasized: That letter has become a call to encourage millions of hearts to stand up, unite, and join hands to fight to overcome the hardships of two long resistance wars to gain independence and freedom for the Fatherland.
After nearly 80 years of deeply remembering his teachings, the people of the Central Highlands today always firmly believe in the Party and beloved Uncle Ho, and unite to strive to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous.

That source of emotion and the professional performance of the actors of Dam San Music and Dance Theater and the artisans of Pleiku Roh village (Yen Do ward, Pleiku city) completely conquered the audience at the festival.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa (Le Loi Ward, Vinh City) said: “I am very impressed with the performance of the Gia Lai troupe. Every performance is meaningful, profound in content, and magnificently staged. Among them, I like the traditional musical ensemble “Tay Nguyen misses Uncle Ho” the most because it is very exciting and true to the real life of the people of the Central Highlands.”
Also on the evening of May 16, the exhibition “Ho Chi Minh, the most beautiful name” was opened at the Nghe An Provincial Cultural Center. The exhibition displays more than 400 images, documents, and valuable artifacts; thereby, vividly recreating the revolutionary journey of President Ho Chi Minh - a beautiful symbol of patriotism and immense love for the people.
Among them, the exhibition space "President Ho Chi Minh with the people of all Vietnamese ethnic groups" expressed his views on a united and united Vietnam, where all ethnic groups are equal and closely connected to fight together, protect and build the Fatherland.

At the cultural and artistic exchange program taking place during the exhibition, the Gia Lai delegation also “burned themselves out” through 10 performances imbued with their identity: The gong song “Tay Nguyen remembers Uncle Ho”; the ensemble “Echoes of the village festival”; the trio “Crazy young man”; the solo “Picking vegetables by the stream”; the reenactment of the rituals “Bringing water to the village” and “Celebrating victory” of the Jrai people…
On this occasion, the Theater also displayed a number of booths to promote OCOP products, promote tourism, and introduce the typical cuisine of Gia Lai province to domestic and foreign tourists. Coming to the program, Dang Ba Quan - a student of Nghe An Province Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities - expressed his emotion and pride in the beauty of the cultural identity of Vietnamese ethnic groups, including the participation of the Central Highlands people.
Quan shared: “I was very impressed when I first witnessed such great performances. I hope to come to Gia Lai one day.”
To successfully perform both key activities within the framework of the 2025 Lotus Village Festival is a great effort for the collective of actors of the Dam San General Music and Dance Theater and artisans of Pleiku Roh village.
Singer Thuy Duong said: The group arrived in Nghe An right before the rehearsal on stage, only having time to rest for a few hours before getting right to work. However, the exciting, sacred atmosphere these days in Uncle Ho's hometown made everyone excited, forgetting all their fatigue.
Just like that, the Central Highlands melodies, Central Highlands gongs and songs dedicated to Uncle Ho have proudly resounded in the homeland of the beloved leader, National Liberation Hero, and Outstanding Cultural Celebrity of Vietnam with sacred feelings and deep gratitude...
