And Bu Gia Map district is one of the bright spots in the province implementing this program.

Dream come true

More than 25 years ago, Ms. Vu Thi Chung followed her parents to start a career in Tan Lap village, Phu Nghia commune, Bu Gia Map district. Just after graduating, she was accepted as a teacher at Phu Nghia Primary School. After that, she got married to her husband who was working at the 26/6 Farm. She and her husband borrowed land from the farm to build a temporary house. Time passed quickly, and the couple welcomed the joy of becoming parents when their two children were born. From then on, the couple focused all their resources on taking care of their two children. The dream of a spacious house was also temporarily put on hold.

“My family has lived in a temporary house built on land borrowed from the farm for 24 years. Now that the children have grown up, graduated and have jobs, my family is determined to build a new house. However, we do not have much savings, fortunately we were able to access capital from the Social Policy Bank with a loan of 600 million VND to build our dream house. With this amount of money, the family has reduced the burden of debt arising from housing construction,” Ms. Chung shared.

Similarly, the spacious house of Mr. Le Ngoc Linh, a teacher at Bu Gia Map Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School, was built with policy credit loans. Living in a truly warm home, meals, though simple, contain the happiness of family members. Starting a new career in their new homeland, Mr. Linh's family has overcome many difficulties, making efforts to stay in school, stay in class, and dedicate themselves to their profession. Mr. Linh shared: “My husband and I are both teachers at Bu Gia Map Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School. When we were single and came here to work, we both lived in the dormitory for teachers of the school. When we got married, our economic conditions were still difficult, so the school created conditions for my husband and I to continue living here. Later, we had 2 young children and my mother moved in with us, but the room in the dormitory became cramped. Therefore, my husband and I decided to build a house. With limited economic conditions, we were lent more than 500 million VND by the Social Policy Bank. Thanks to that, my family was able to build our dream house as it is today.”

Capital of affection

As a remote district, the demand for social housing in Bu Gia Map is still high. Many policy beneficiaries of the program are still being connected to increase their opportunities to "settle down and have a career". Since the implementation of social housing loans, many households have accessed capital and have the conditions to build more spacious houses. Currently, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Bu Gia Map district has been increasing propaganda to help people access information, so that those who are eligible can enjoy this capital source.

“Previously, in Bu Gia Map district, many households had to rent houses or live in temporary houses or damaged houses because they did not have the conditions to repair or rebuild. Since the implementation of Decree No. 100/2024/ND-CP of the Government , we have disbursed more than 13 billion VND in loans to build social housing in the district, with 32 houses built. Bu Gia Map is a remote district with a large population of ethnic minorities, and the people's demand for housing is still high. Therefore, the credit capital for social housing construction has brought great joy to the beneficiaries" - Ms. Vu Thi Minh, Deputy Director of the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of Bu Gia Map district said.

In recent times, the credit capital for social housing loans has helped hundreds of poor households realize their dream of owning a home. This is a deeply humane program, and at the same time, it is the foundation of social security and stability in the province in general and Bu Gia Map district in particular.
