In particular, the implementation of Project 06/CP (Developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030) in the province further demonstrates the importance of digital infrastructure in building an effective population management system and providing high-quality online public services. With a solid technology foundation and interconnected digital platforms, An Giang can fully develop the digital economy, attract investment from high-tech fields, improve people's quality of life and build e-government, moving towards a transparent and effective digital government.
Launching VNPT-EMR Electronic Medical Record, marking an important step in digital transformation in the healthcare sector
The Provincial People's Committee has proactively cooperated with VNPT Group to build a specialized data transmission network system, ensuring smooth and secure connection to 100% of State agencies from the provincial to communal levels. This system has been successfully deployed to all 155 communes, wards and towns in the province, creating a solid foundation for the deployment of digital applications and services in the coming time.
The next important step in An Giang's digital transformation journey is the official signing of a cooperation agreement on digital transformation for the 2025-2030 period between the Provincial People's Committee and VNPT Group on March 26. This event took place in the context that the whole country is actively implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on promoting national digital transformation by 2030. This resolution emphasizes the core role of building digital infrastructure, digital data and digital platforms in developing digital government, digital economy and digital society. Therefore, the strategic cooperation between the Provincial People's Committee and VNPT is a concrete step, contributing to realizing the country's major goals in the field of digital transformation.
Signing a cooperation agreement on digital transformation for the period 2025 - 2030 between the Provincial People's Committee and VNPT Group
According to the cooperation agreement, VNPT commits to accompany the People's Committee of An Giang province in building and deploying comprehensive digital transformation solutions on three main pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy and Digital Society. Specifically, VNPT will support An Giang in developing modern digital infrastructure, building a synchronous data platform and smart operating system. In addition, the group will focus on improving digital capacity for civil servants, public employees, businesses and people in the province, ensuring that all components can access and benefit from digital transformation.
Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung said that digital transformation is an inevitable trend, playing a key role in promoting the industrialization and modernization of the country in general and the sustainable development of An Giang province in particular. In the process of digital transformation, An Giang pays special attention to key areas such as healthcare, education, processing work records online, remote direction and management, as well as deploying digital applications and platforms to directly serve the needs of people and businesses.
To ensure effective implementation of digital transformation in the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to strengthen close coordination, ensuring synchronization in the implementation process. At the same time, he requested VNPT Group, when coordinating digital transformation in An Giang, to research and propose solutions suitable to the current situation and local characteristics. In particular, he suggested that VNPT research and deploy the application of "lifelong learning" in the province, in order to create conditions for people to easily access new knowledge and skills.
Over the past time, VNPT has demonstrated its role as a reliable partner of the province by providing many important technology solutions, contributing to improving the operational efficiency of the provincial government. Typically, the deployment of the Intelligent Operations Center (IOC), the network information security monitoring system, the malware monitoring and handling system, the provincial public service portal, and the electronic office system connecting all levels. In the healthcare sector, VNPT has deployed software for hospital management, medical examination and treatment management, clinics, especially the Electronic Medical Record system (VNPT EMR). Notably, VNPT has successfully coordinated with 2 medical facilities in the province to deploy electronic medical records, this system has been assessed by the Ministry of Health as meeting standards and announced in January 2025. Implementing the direction of the Government and the Provincial People's Committee, VNPT is actively coordinating with 100% of medical facilities in the province to deploy electronic medical records on schedule. In the field of education, VNPT has accompanied the An Giang education sector to deploy many effective digital transformation solutions such as school management software, electronic contact books, digital transcripts, primary school enrollment systems and cashless fee collection. |
