
The Gia Lai Journalists' Singing Contest 2025 is a meaningful artistic activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and towards the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2025).
The contest gathered nearly 100 amateur singers and actors from press and media agencies in the province. In addition to the team of journalists from Gia Lai Newspaper, Provincial Radio and Television Station, Provincial Journalists Association, the contest also had the participation of the following units: Ia Grai District Culture-Information and Sports Center, Saigon-Gia Lai International Eye Hospital, Hung Vuong Gia Lai Hospital, BIDV Nam Gia Lai, BIDV Gia Lai, An Khe Sugar Factory, Gia Lai Medical Import-Export Joint Stock Company, Kon Tum Eye Hospital...

The entries in the contest are rich in content and diverse in expression, ranging from revolutionary music (such as Mien xa tham, Truong Son Dong-Truong Son Tay, I love my Fatherland, Uncle Ho lives forever with the Central Highlands, Country of love...), lyrical music (Lorca's guitar, Canh chim bao tin vui), to folk melodies (Kuk krang bok tok boe mai, Ly ngua o, Em gui anh ve), and songs about journalism and youth (Nghe jour noi toi, Khat vong tuoi tre...).
Notably, the contest also has some very popular compositions such as Continuing the story of peace, Bac Bling or Gialaitv (composed by journalists Dang Huy Cuong and Manh Ha - Provincial Radio and Television Station).

At the opening ceremony, Journalist Huynh Kien - Editor-in-Chief of Gia Lai Newspaper, Chairman of the Journalists Association emphasized: The press industry is not only a place where intelligence, political courage and sense of responsibility converge, but also a place to nurture the soul, arouse emotions and connect the community.
With the desire to create a healthy artistic playground, contributing to improving the spiritual life of journalists in particular and those working in the media in general, while discovering and honoring talented singers, the Gia Lai Open Journalists Singing Contest 2025 is organized as a tribute, to support those who are silently dedicating day and night behind each page of the newspaper, each news bulletin, each radio and television program.
The contest promises to bring many emotions and spread positive values, contributing to strengthening solidarity and connection between journalists and other forces in the communication and building of local cultural life.
