“The delivery of a new batch of reconnaissance UAVs to Ukraine is part of the UK-managed International Support Fund for Ukraine,” the British Ministry of Defense said in a statement on August 18. The Ukrainian armed forces have already begun training on the systems.

The batch of UAVs delivered to Ukraine will include more than 100 units, including a variety of types designed for different roles, such as target acquisition, electronic warfare, artillery guidance and night operations.
“The UK remains committed to supporting Ukraine and has earmarked £2.3 billion for military support to Ukraine in 2023. Additional weapons and equipment will be delivered in the coming months. The UK government continues to support Kiev in the form of humanitarian assistance and economic aid,” the UK Ministry of Defence added.
Western countries increased military aid and provided Kiev with a variety of weapons after Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine from February 2022.
Moscow has repeatedly warned countries sending weapons to Ukraine that the Kremlin considers these military shipments to be legitimate targets.
