Cashew trees in Binh Phuoc province have a cultivated area of about 152 thousand hectares, accounting for more than 30% of the total perennial crop area and more than 33% of the total agricultural land area of the province.
The cashew growing area of Binh Phuoc province accounts for nearly 50% of the total cashew growing area of the country; the number of cashew processing facilities with more than 1,400 small and medium-sized facilities, creating regular jobs for more than 50,000 workers.
This year, due to the negative impact of climate change, although the productivity of Binh Phuoc's cashew trees has decreased, the price of fresh raw cashew nuts is high, so farmers are excited. Currently, it is the main cashew harvest season, so farmers and cashew growing enterprises are busy harvesting the 2024-2025 cashew crop.
