“During the filming process, I felt pressured because of the role. Thanks to Nhi's support, I was able to complete the project completely,” said Anh Tu Atus.

During filming, he pondered over his role, took notes on his thoughts, and discussed them with director Tran Huu Tan and producer Hoang Quan. The actor decided to choose the emotional element to cling to, thereby further exploiting the hidden corners of fate.

Director Tran Huu Tan assessed that Anh Tu Atus had "completely transformed", finding a balance between the "human" and "demon" parts of Than Duc, helping the character not be monotonous.

The film also marks Luong The Thanh’s return to the big screen after 13 years. Playing the role of village chief Lo Dat, the actor likened himself to a “blank page”, learning more from the crew and young colleagues.

Before filming, Luong The Thanh worked out to keep his body in the best shape. His daily diet of 3 meals only revolved around sweet potatoes, meat, eggs, shrimp... for 3 months. As a result, the actor lost 5kg, tightened his body and was praised for his handsomeness and style on screen.

Luong The Thanh said there were scenes he filmed that lasted from 9pm to 6am the next morning. The actor suffered an injury while practicing martial arts and had to have his back massaged with oil during the entire filming.
