According to PhoneArena , when a product is on the vintage list, there is no guarantee that it is eligible for repair through Apple or an authorized service provider. If parts are available, the company will offer to repair the product.

iPhone SE 2016 was once a quite successful product.

Once a product reaches the seven-year mark, it will be considered “obsolete” by Apple. That’s when there will be no hardware service for the device and service providers will no longer be able to order parts for it.

The first generation iPhone SE is based on the iPhone 5s with a 4-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 640 x 1,136 pixels. Instead of being equipped with an A7 chip like the iPhone 5s, the iPhone SE is equipped with an A9 chip combined with 2 GB of RAM, double that of the iPhone 5s. The product also has a 1,624 mAh battery, slightly larger than the 1,570 mAh on the iPhone 5s.

On the back, the iPhone SE has a 12 MP camera, up from 8 MP on the iPhone 5s, and costs $399. Apple has since released two other versions of the iPhone SE, the iPhone SE (2020) and iPhone SE (2022). Both are based on the iPhone 8 design with a 4.7-inch LCD display, but have different chips, the A13 Bionic and A15 Bionic, respectively.

Recent rumors suggest that Apple will launch the iPhone SE 4 in 2025 with a design based on the iPhone 14, including a 6.1-inch display, Face ID, USB-C port, A16 Bionic or A17 Pro chip, single rear camera, and a new Action button.

In addition to the first-generation iPhone SE, Apple also added another product to the "classic" list: the 2017 iPad Pro 12.9 and the Mickey Beats Solo3 headphones.
