Arsenal made a mistake not signing Mbeumo?

Former Arsenal striker Theo Walcott believes his old club made a big mistake by not signing Bryan Mbeumo long ago, allowing the star to join Manchester United.

Speaking on ITV, Walcott insisted the Cameroon winger was “born to play in the Premier League” and that Arsenal missed out on a golden opportunity to sign Mbeumo years ago. “I think Mbeumo has been fantastic and he is a player Arsenal should have bought years ago. They had that opportunity in the past,” Walcott revealed.

"If I remember correctly, Mbeumo's agent contacted Arsenal many times in the past, but the club refused. They were skeptical about his ability," Walcott added.

"Mbeumo is playing extremely well. You look at players coming from outside the Premier League, they need time to adapt. But people like Mbeumo are ready for the Premier League," the former England striker concluded.
