Astra Honda Motor Indonesia launches two electric motorcycle models CUV e: and ICON e:

Astra Honda Motor Indonesia (AHM) has just officially introduced two new electric motorcycle models named CUV e: and ICON e:. This is the next step in the company's strategy to expand its electric vehicle product line, after the first electric vehicle model EM1 e: was launched in August 2023 in Indonesia.

Honda CUV e:

CUV e: is a new electric motorbike model equipped with a replaceable battery system, increasing flexibility for users. The vehicle has a youthful and modern design, with soft lines, suitable for moving in crowded cities. This model is developed based on the SC e: Concept, first launched at the IIMS 2024 event.

The design of the CUV e: is reminiscent of Honda's LEAD Electric model, with many advanced features such as a USB-C charging port, a TFT display (in the RoadSync Duo version), and a modern LED lighting system. In terms of power, the car is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum capacity of 6 kW, allowing a maximum speed of up to 83 km/h.

One of the highlights of the CUV e: is the replaceable battery system. This allows users to easily swap out a depleted battery for a fully charged one, saving charging time. According to the manufacturer, the car can travel about 80.7 km after each full charge, and charging time from 0 to 100% takes about 6 hours. In addition, the CUV e: also supports fast charging, allowing charging from 25% to 75% in just 2.7 hours.

The car is also equipped with three driving modes: ECON, STD, and Sport, providing many options for the driver. In particular, the car's integrated RoadSync Duo technology allows users to track their journey, control music, and connect to their phone to receive notifications.

The CUV e: is available in two versions: the standard version and the CUV e: RoadSync Duo, with three color options. The starting price for the standard version is IDR 53 million (approximately VND 84.3 million), while the RoadSync Duo version starts at IDR 57 million (approximately VND 90.6 million).

Honda ICON e:

Besides CUV e:, Honda also introduced the ICON e: model, targeting young and dynamic users. With a compact design, ICON e: is easy to move in crowded urban areas. This model stands out with its simple but modern and fashionable design. The equipment on ICON e: includes a USB charger, digital dashboard and the entire LED lighting system.

In terms of engine, ICON e: has a maximum capacity of 1.8 kW, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 55 km/h. The car's battery is placed under the chassis, allowing the car to travel a maximum distance of 53 km after each charge. ICON e: has two driving modes: ECON and STD. Full charging time takes about 7 hours and 20 minutes, and the car also supports fast charging from 25% to 75% in 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Like the CUV e:, the ICON e: also uses a replaceable battery system, providing convenience for users as they can change batteries at charging stations instead of having to wait. The car is launched with 5 color options and a starting price of IDR 28 million (about VND 44.5 million).

CUV e: and ICON e: are two of 30 electric vehicle models that Honda plans to launch before 2030. The appearance of these two models not only adds to the company's electric vehicle product portfolio, but also demonstrates Honda's commitment to developing electric vehicle technology, towards a sustainable future.
