Audi, BMW and Mercedes compete in promotions, some cars are discounted by nearly 600 million VND

(Dan Tri) - In addition to BMW and Mercedes-Benz, Audi is the next luxury car company to join the price reduction race, applying incentives to many products distributed in Vietnam.

In June 2023, the Vietnamese auto market was still gloomy, many stimulus measures were introduced but sales showed no signs of improvement. Purchasing power was low but the number of cars produced and imported into the country still had to be maintained at a certain level, causing many dealers to face inventory. In the popular car segment, there was no shortage of products with discounts of up to hundreds of millions of VND but still had difficulty finding customers. As for luxury car models, the accompanying promotional program must have a "huge" discount to attract customers. Currently, the luxury car brands with the deepest discounts include BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi. Among them, there are incentive programs from the manufacturer but also the dealer's own business policies, helping the actual selling price of some products to be reduced by up to half a billion VND. Audi is a bit later than BMW and Mercedes-Benz , but Audi's June 2023 promotion program has a highlight in its coverage, applied to the entire range of gasoline cars (A4, A6, A7, A8, Q2, Q3, Q5, Q7 and Q8). The car with the biggest discount is up to 300 million VND. The company also offers a 2-year physical insurance package to car buyers and can be converted into cash. Depending on the model, the value directly deducted from the price can range from 35 million to 140.5 million VND.

Preferential prices of Audi models (Unit: VND). BMW Since the beginning of June, BMW has applied a preferential price policy for a series of domestically assembled products including 3-Series, 5-Series, X3 and X5. The discount program mainly applies to cars manufactured in 2022 (VIN 2022) but some models still have promotions for VIN 2023. Of which, the most notable is the BMW X5 with a discount of up to VND 584 billion, bringing the actual selling price down to VND 3.435 billion. This price is significantly lower than the listed price of its direct competitor, the Mercedes-Benz GLE (VND 4.509-4.849 billion).

Details of the new price policy of the BMW assembled car series (Unit: VND). Mercedes-Benz Not inferior to its competitors, this June the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and E-Class will be supported by the manufacturer with 50% of the registration fee, equivalent to the highest reduction of 132 million and 192.5 million VND, respectively. The GLC SUV model in particular will be given 100% of the registration fee for the old version remaining (code X253) because the car has been upgraded to a new generation since May. However, at some dealers, both the old GLC and the E-Class are offered additional promotions, helping to reduce the actual price even more deeply. Specifically, the E-Class is offered with a 100% registration fee incentive, converted into a reduction of up to 400 million VND. The old Mercedes-Benz GLC is applied by a showroom in Hanoi with a reduction of up to 19% of the listed price, but the quantity is not much. With this program, the post-incentive price of the highest-end GLC 300 4Matic version is reduced to 2.139 billion VND, lower than the promotional price of its competitor, the BMW X3.

This June will be a good time to consider if you want to buy the above luxury cars. In addition, the policy of supporting 50% of registration fees for "domestic" cars is expected to be applied from July 1. Therefore, if you buy an assembled BMW or Mercedes-Benz, users will save up to hundreds of millions of VND.
