According to the Australian Embassy in Vietnam, with the theme of “High-tech innovation to respond to climate change in agriculture towards inclusive development”, this funding round focuses on exploiting technology to respond to the impacts of climate change in agriculture. This theme also contributes to the overall goal of the Aus4Innovation program to promote sustainable and inclusive development of the innovation ecosystem in Vietnam.
The Fund commits to providing financial support of between AUD 300,000 and AUD 700,000 to each competitively selected project, thereby promoting cooperation between innovation pioneers from the two countries.

Ms. Gillian Bird, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam said: “Australia is committed to supporting Vietnam’s economic growth and agricultural innovation. Through these grants, Australia wishes to contribute to enhancing the capacity of Vietnam’s agricultural sector to respond to the increasingly serious challenges of climate change, while affirming Australia’s commitment to sustainable and inclusive development."
“Support from the Aus4Innovation program is helping Vietnamese researchers , scientists and businesses push the boundaries of technology, turning innovative ideas into concrete solutions with widespread applicability. This funding round is an important step towards sustainability and climate resilience in agricultural practices, thereby effectively taking advantage of the opportunities brought by technology and innovation,” said Mr. Bui The Duy, Vice Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam.
In the previous four funding rounds, the Aus4Innovation Partnership Grants have supported 15 projects, of which 12 have been completed and 3 are ongoing, delivering practical results and innovative solutions for social progress in agricultural practices.
