Ca Mau and Bac Lieu hold Steering Committee meeting to develop merger project

At the conference, most of the delegates agreed with the proposals according to the report of the Working Group advising on the development of the political system project of Ca Mau province. The leadership positions of the Party, government and political organizations were agreed by most of the delegates with the number of proposed projects. Within a maximum period of 5 years from the date the project was approved, the number of deputies will be arranged according to the regulations of the Central Committee.

However, it is also necessary to consider in an open way to be able to increase the number of deputy positions to create conditions for stability in ideology as well as operations of the units after the merger. Regarding the arrangement of cadres, civil servants and public employees to stay and work in Bac Lieu , as well as to work in Ca Mau, many delegates said that it is necessary to consider the specific family circumstances, and also review the number that needs to be supplemented, how many should be arranged to suit the decision to go or stay.

Giving opinions on the economic scenarios and the main socio-economic indicators of Ca Mau province (after the merger) for the period of 2026-2030, the delegates all agreed with the high economic scenario plan, and at the same time suggested that it is necessary to thoroughly review the indicators to make them correct and close to the local reality, contributing to Ca Mau province achieving double-digit growth in accordance with the Central Government's direction.

Secretary of Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee Lu Van Hung highly appreciated the positive spirit of the Steering Committee in implementing the content in the past time, and emphasized: "The merger must be in line with the goal of streamlining, it must be considered a revolution, with high determination and this is also the time, the opportunity to carry out streamlining to move towards the next goals".

Highly agreeing with the economic growth scenario with the target of double-digit growth, the Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee suggested that it is necessary to propose specific plans and projects to contribute to promoting socio-economic development in the coming term.

Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai praised the high sense of responsibility of the members of the Steering Committee for project development, which contributed significantly to the development of the projects, and has basically completed the work today.

The Steering Committee received the opinions of the delegates at the conference to complete the project, and by May 30, reported to the Party Executive Committees of the two provinces.
