Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang affirmed that in the glorious 80-year journey of Vietnamese diplomacy, generations of female cadres have always promoted the good qualities of Vietnamese women - peaceful, reasonable, steadfast but flexible, tolerant, benevolent, with strong patriotism, revolutionary spirit and silent sacrifice - contributing to the achievements of foreign affairs, while creating a very unique, very Vietnamese style in foreign affairs activities.

At the same time, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Hang also pointed out that many female diplomats have been recognized and admired by the international community, demonstrating the position of Vietnamese diplomacy.

Speaking at the seminar, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Hoi emotionally recalled the years when the country faced numerous difficulties. In the context of being surrounded and embargoed, the "steel roses" of the diplomatic sector still maintained a spirit of resilience, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, contributing to helping the country overcome difficult challenges.

Ambassador Phan Thuy Thanh emphasized that over the past 80 years, female diplomats have constantly strived to rise from the role of "implementer" to "creator" - proactively proposing policies, advising on strategies, making profound contributions to important areas such as foreign information, promoting the image of a peaceful , friendly, independent and developing Vietnam.

Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies Nguyen Thi Hoang Van said that on the Party's foreign affairs and people's diplomacy front, female diplomats have demonstrated outstanding qualities, abilities and qualities, making positive contributions to the country's development process.

The discussion was not only an opportunity to pay tribute to the women who have contributed to the history of the diplomatic sector, but also to strongly inspire the younger generation of female officials. Ambassador Nguyen Thi Hoi affirmed that over the past 80 years, Vietnamese female diplomats have been “warriors” on the diplomatic front, always completing their tasks excellently regardless of their position or circumstances.

In a video message from afar, Ambassador Pham Lan Dung sent the message that perseverance, optimism and determination will help women in the diplomatic sector overcome all challenges.

Continuous learning to create the future

At the Seminar, the "old trees" also shared many valuable experiences and lessons for the young generations of female diplomats to improve themselves and move towards a bright future.

In particular, Ms. Phan Thi Phuc, wife of the late Minister Nguyen Co Thach, pointed out that the generation of young female diplomats needs to continuously study and strive to bring Vietnamese foreign affairs further in the new era.

According to the speakers, in the context of a changing world, women in the diplomatic sector need to make constant efforts, be confident in their abilities, live fully with passion and aspiration, thereby contributing to a comprehensive, modern and developed diplomacy.

The seminar was also honored to hear the emotional sharing via video of former Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam Nguyen Thi Binh.

The event is not only a profound gratitude for the silent but great contributions of women in the Diplomatic sector, but also an opportunity to arouse pride and motivate the next generation of female cadres. In the new period, the Diplomatic sector needs to continue to promote the role of women in the fields of modern diplomacy, multilateral diplomacy, and at the same time strengthen the network of female foreign affairs cadres in the region and the world, in order to enhance the position, prestige and influence of Vietnamese diplomacy, accompanying the strong progress of the nation in the era of deep integration.
