On May 31, at the 13th session of the People's Council of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, many resolutions related to public investment and local planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, were passed with the development motto "Breakthrough - Dynamic - Creative - Sustainable".

Accordingly, in the coming time, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province will invest in two roads connecting National Highway 55 and National Highway 56 to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway with a total estimated investment of nearly 12,000 billion VND; upgrading and expanding Road 994 with a total estimated investment of about 2,300 billion VND. After upgrading and expanding, Road 994 will be nearly 100 km long, connecting 5 localities of this province on one axis.

The meeting approved the planning of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. According to the planning, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province will develop comprehensively, becoming one of the important development driving forces of the Southeast region, the national marine economic center and among the top 5 localities with leading marine economic development in the country, by 2030 becoming a centrally-run city.

By 2050, Ba Ria-Vung Tau will be the national marine economic center; the maritime service center of Southeast Asia; an international-class high-quality tourism center; and at the same time, an industrial center of the Southeast region.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau province also proposed 4 development breakthroughs. Specifically, by 2030, it will focus on completing the traffic routes connecting the province with the Southeast region, promoting regional connectivity, conveniently connecting the province with the region, the country and internationally so that this locality can truly become the gateway of the region and the country. Establishing high-tech industrial parks to attract investors and human resources in advanced manufacturing industries, using modern technology.
By 2030, with a vision to 2050, develop a modern Phu My port city, a national logistics center, a free trade zone associated with the seaport system in the Cai Mep - Thi Vai area... Form tourist cities with a synchronous, modern infrastructure system, a safe, clean living environment, and superior quality; position Ba Ria-Vung Tau as an international-class entertainment, recreation, and resort center.
Closing the session, Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, Secretary of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that the resolutions passed this time are of important significance, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province not only in the immediate future but also in the long term.
The Secretary of the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee to proactively develop plans, assign specific tasks, have a roadmap for completion and promptly implement the resolutions passed during the meeting.
