The 3rd Singing Contest for People with Disabilities in 2025 in the Northern region took place over 2 days (May 12 and 13) with the participation of more than 160 contestants from 12 delegations from provinces and cities in the Northern region including: Bac Giang, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Hoa Binh, Lang Son, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien and Hai Phong.

The Bac Giang Province Disabled People's Art Troupe had 14 actors participating in 3 performances: "Goi do" by contestant Nong Van Khanh; "Nguoi Ha Noi" by contestant La Dang Hung and "Xa khoi" by contestant Nong Thi Binh. With elaborate preparation, impressive performance style, and leaving many emotions, all of the troupe's performances won awards including: 1 Gold prize, 2 Encouragement prizes and 1 Most Impressive Voice prize (secondary prize). With the above results, the Bac Giang troupe was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam Association for the Protection of Disabled People and Orphans for its outstanding achievements in the competition.
The performance “Calling the Ferry” performed by contestant Nong Van Khanh truly touched the hearts of the audience. With a sweet voice, the contestant recreated the image of his hometown river and the longing, waiting, and aspirations of love. The performance not only demonstrated his singing talent but also spread the strong will to live, the belief and the desire to integrate into the community of people with disabilities. The excellent performance won the Gold Prize and was selected to participate in the final round of the National Singing Contest for People with Disabilities held in Hanoi in June 2025.

The contest is a meaningful art playground to encourage and motivate people with disabilities to confidently rise up and integrate into the community. Thereby contributing to discovering and nurturing artistic talents, creating opportunities for members to exchange and learn, and at the same time affirming the self-worth of people with disabilities through cultural and artistic activities.
