The 2025 National Go and Youth Go Championship will take place from April 2 to April 8, 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City, organized by the Vietnam Chess Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City.
Competition scene at the tournament
The tournament attracted nearly 150 athletes from Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong, Bac Giang , Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Kien Giang and Hoa Phuong Do Club. Athletes competed in blitz, rapid and standard chess for male and female players and age groups U11, U16 and U20.
Athlete Nguyen Tran Hai Dang (Bac Giang men, podium number 1) received the Championship Cup and Gold Medal at the tournament.
The tournament aims to develop the training movement and build a force of Go athletes nationwide; at the same time, select excellent athletes to join the national team and the national youth team to train in preparation for participating in international tournaments in the coming time.
Athlete Nguyen Manh Linh (Bac Giang men, podium number 1) received the Championship Cup and Gold Medal at the tournament.
The Bac Giang delegation had 25 athletes participating in the competition, striving to win 04 Gold Medals, 09 Silver Medals, 24 Bronze Medals. In which, athlete Nguyen Tran Hai Dang excellently won 03 Gold Medals in all 3 categories of blitz chess, rapid chess and standard chess; 01 Gold Medal belonged to Nguyen Manh Linh in rapid chess. With the achievements, the Bac Giang delegation ranked 3rd overall./.
