Handover of OCOP product support activities

On April 28, the Provincial Farmers' Association coordinated with the Economic, Social and Environmental Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association to organize a conference to hand over OCOP product support activities to contribute to promoting the potential and advantages of the locality in Phu Tho province.

Conference overview

At the handover ceremony, the Provincial Farmers' Association and the Central Economic Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association surveyed, evaluated and selected 5 products that are likely to achieve OCOP in 2025, including: Tan Duc traditional sticky rice sauce of Tan Duc sticky rice sauce cooperative, Minh Nong ward, Viet Tri city; Viet Duc lotus tea of ​​Viet Duc lotus agricultural cooperative, Song Lo commune, Viet Tri city, Luong Nha apples of Luong Nha vegetable, root and fruit cooperative, Luong Nha commune, Thanh Son district, Ba Hoa sour meat of Ba Hoa sour meat production facility ThanhSonFood, Cu Thang commune, Thanh Son district and Tongue-rolled ears of Nguyen Thi Kim Dung - Kien Dung Food business household, Luong Lo commune, Thanh Ba district.

Representatives of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union and the Provincial Farmers' Union handed over operational support to 5 entities to develop new OCOP products.

Representatives of business households, production establishments, and cooperatives discussed and exchanged difficulties and advantages in the product development process, focusing on developing product story ideas, building a traceability system according to the value chain, and learning how to deploy and operate the OCOP program.

Along with that, the Central Association also supports the development of business plans to maintain and improve products; supports the design and printing of packaging and labels; guides the development of barcode registration files, trademark protection... to improve and enhance product quality.

The handover and support for the development of OCOP products not only helps selected households improve their competitiveness, but also effectively exploits local resources, promotes agricultural production associated with processing, connects product consumption markets according to the value chain, and contributes to the sustainable development of the agricultural and rural economy .
