The activity was held to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). Attending the meeting were leaders of Hiep Duc district.
At the Zone 5 Party Committee Relic Site, the delegation offered flowers and incense to express gratitude and commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Memorial Monument for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the Zone 5 battlefield during the resistance war against the US to save the country. Next, the delegation offered incense and flowers at the office of the Chairman of the State Council Vo Chi Cong, expressing their respect and comrade Vo Chi Cong's great contributions to the cause of national liberation.
The Zone 5 Party Committee Base in Song Tra Commune was the last base of the Zone 5 Party Committee during the national liberation resistance war on the Zone 5 battlefield (1973 - 1975). At this base, the Zone 5 Party Committee and the Military Region 5 Command outlined the plan for the Spring General Offensive and Uprising in 1975.
Mr. Khuong Van Bong - Head of the Liaison Office of the Party Committee of Zone 5 expressed his joy at having the opportunity to visit the old battlefield in Song Tra, witnessing the changes in the land of bravery and resilience, which once suffered much pain and loss during the war. At the same time, he believed that his hometown Hiep Duc would continue to achieve many new development achievements in the upcoming development journey.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 20 gifts to 20 disadvantaged policy families in Phuoc Tra and Song Tra communes.
