The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee organized propaganda on the 2024 Land Law

On the morning of October 9, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) held a conference to disseminate the 2024 Land Law and review 3 years of establishing a core group model to disseminate policies and laws on compensation and site clearance (GPMB) in localities. Attending the conference were comrade Tran Thi Ngan, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of departments, branches, districts, towns and cities.

At the conference, delegates listened to the Department of Justice introduce new regulations, basic contents of the 2024 Land Law and documents detailing the implementation of the law. Accordingly, the 2024 Land Law (passed by the National Assembly on January 18, 2024, effective from August 1, 2024), consists of 16 chapters, 260 articles (of which 78 articles are added compared to the 2013 Land Law). In particular, the 2024 Land Law has many new points such as: removing the land price framework; issuing a new land price list (from January 1, 2026); people have the right to access land information (on planning, land use plans, plans related to land use that have been decided and approved by competent state agencies). Another notable new point is that the 2024 Land Law stipulates expanding the limit for receiving transfer of agricultural land use rights of individuals. The regulation will facilitate more effective use of agricultural land, thereby promoting the agricultural sector to develop rapidly, sustainably and effectively, firmly ensuring national food security and increasingly renewing the face of the countryside.

Promoting the results of the propaganda conference, in the coming time, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province will continue to study and grasp the new regulations, the contents of the 2024 Land Law and detailed implementation documents, thereby promoting propaganda and mobilization work, continuing to spread knowledge and information about the Land Law to help union members, members and people raise awareness, fully grasp and better understand their rights and obligations in the process of land use, contributing to minimizing violations and promoting the use of land in a reasonable and sustainable manner.

Also at the conference, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee summarized 3 years of establishing the core group model to propagate policies and laws on compensation for site clearance in localities. In fact, since its establishment, 100% of members of the core groups have been trained by the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to improve their skills in grasping, propagating, disseminating, mobilizing, and guiding people to implement the policies and laws of the Party, State, and localities on compensation and site clearance, contributing to speeding up the construction progress of projects in the province.

In the coming time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will continue to direct and orient core groups to focus on disseminating, popularizing andeducating laws related to the 2024 Land Law; regulations on compensation, support and resettlement when the State acquires land; documents guiding the implementation of mechanisms, policies and laws related to land acquisition. At the same time, innovate propaganda content in the form of "going to every alley, knocking on every door", applying diverse and flexible forms of propaganda such as integrating into community activities, conferences to deploy and summarize the work of organizations, exchanges, seminars... so that households affected by projects and having to acquire land for land acquisition are clearly aware of and fully exercise their rights, obligations and responsibilities.
