The Provincial Party Standing Committee approved the policy of implementing 3 projects in Dong Nai with a total estimated investment of more than 80 trillion VND.

(DN) - The Provincial Party Committee has issued Official Dispatch No. 9815-CV/TU (dated May 22, 2025) to the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to notify the conclusion of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee at the meeting on May 22 on the policy of implementing the Ma Da Bridge Project; Elevated Road Project along National Highway 51; Project to extend the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to Bien Hoa city and Long Thanh International Airport.

Accordingly, the Provincial Party Standing Committee met to give opinions on the policy of implementing the above projects.

After reviewing Official Dispatch No. 907-CV/DU (dated May 21, 2025) of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee approved the policy of implementing the Ma Da Bridge Project connecting Dong Nai province with Binh Phuoc province; the elevated road project along National Highway 51 from Vung Tau intersection to the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap Street with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway; the project to extend the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line to the new administrative center, Bien Hoa city and connect to Long Thanh Airport as proposed by the Provincial Party Committee.

Regarding the Ma Da Bridge Project, regarding the suitability of planning, the Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial Party Committee to study the opinions of the members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to implement it closely and in accordance with the practical situation.

According to the proposal of the Provincial Party Committee, the Ma Da Bridge Project will be implemented in phase 1 with a cross-section width of 20.5m with 4 lanes for motor vehicles, the approach road to the bridge has a roadbed width of 30m with 4 lanes for motor vehicles. The total investment in phase 1 is expected to be nearly 193 billion VND.

Regarding the elevated road project along Highway 51, the Provincial Party Committee proposed to choose the investment option for the section from Vung Tau intersection to the intersection between Vo Nguyen Giap Street and Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, connecting directly with Huong Lo 2. The project is proposed to be invested in the form of public-private partnership (PPP), BOT contract with a total estimated investment of more than 14.7 trillion VND.

Meanwhile, the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line extension project to the new administrative center, Bien Hoa city and connecting to Long Thanh airport has a length of about 38.5km, divided into 3 sections. The project has a total estimated investment of more than 67.4 trillion VND with mixed capital sources including central support capital, provincial budget capital, BOT capital, and land fund exploitation capital.
