Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Manh Cuong led the delegation.

The program is part of a plan to visit outstanding artists and artists in difficult circumstances and encourage groups and individuals to carry out cultural and artistic activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

Artists still have many aspirations to contribute.

The visits aim to acknowledge and express gratitude for the contributions of artists in general and artists who participated in the revolution, artists who won the State Prize, Ho Chi Minh Prize, People's Artists, and Meritorious Artists who have worked and contributed to the development of literature and art in the city over the past 50 years.

In addition, the program also demonstrates the deep concern of the city's leaders for artists; promptly encourages and motivates artists, creating motivation for them to continue their efforts to contribute to the development of literature and art in the city and the country.

The delegation first visited the home of photographer Nguyen Huu Loc (Minh Loc). Mr. Minh Loc is a former reporter for VNA and was awarded the State Prize for Literature and Arts in 2022 for his work Northern Women in the Resistance War Against America to Save the Country.

Mr. Minh Loc emotionally recounted many emotions and memories of the days of wandering to record historical moments of people and artists in Saigon on April 30, 1975.

At the age of 88, he also hopes to be able to do more photo exhibitions, up to 100 photo exhibitions about activities and beautiful moments of the country and people after the liberation day.

Musician Tran Xuan Tien also gratefully received the encouragement from the leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. After April 30, 1975, he was always devoted and became a musician of the Youth Union and the youth movement with many songs such as: Picking Guava, Learning Spelling, Uncle Ho's City, My City, 300 Years of My City...

As for People's Artist Kim Cuong, when she heard that a delegation of leaders from the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee would visit her home on this occasion, she prepared early to welcome them.

The delegation and Ms. Kim Cuong reviewed the moment Saigon artists appeared on the street on April 30, 1975 and recalled the memories of the day of liberation and national reunification.

"In the common joy of the whole country, all artists also join in that emotion. And our responsibility is to make the audience happier and contribute more to art" - Ms. Kim Cuong said.

Ms. Kim Cuong also expressed her deep gratitude to the audience for always remembering The Durian Leaf , a play listed among the city's 50 most outstanding literary and artistic works in the past 50 years.
