Speaking at the opening of the Forum, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Editor-in-Chief of the Economic and Urban Newspaper, stated that the cooperative relationship between the press and businesses is a mutual, symbiotic relationship.

The press is a bridge between businesses and the State. Through information in the press, State agencies can listen to businesses' opinions, from implementing policies and strategies to contributing to improving management and operation efficiency.

The press is also an important and necessary information channel, contributing to the success of businesses, not only as a bridge to promote product brands, product quality, sales methods and product consumption... but also as a channel to provide information for businesses to grasp customer needs, information from partners, the development of domestic and foreign markets, thereby making appropriate decisions for the development of businesses...

"The goal of the Forum is to become an annual event to contribute and propose more solutions to strengthen the relationship between the press and businesses, contributing positively to the overall development of the country," said Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi.

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai emphasized that "sharing the same fate" is the most important thing that the press and businesses need to do at this time.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Loi, today's Forum will focus on exchanging and discussing the main contents such as: Overview of theoretical issues on the relationship between the press and businesses; analysis of the role of the press for businesses and entrepreneurs in the integration period, especially in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution.

Analyze the current situation of press communication activities for the business community on socio-economic development in the digital media environment; clarify the issues and causes of the lack of consensus between businesses and the press; inaccurate information, the problem of "legitimizing" rumors in the press affects the reputation, brand and legitimate rights of businesses.

Experience in handling media crises, correcting information and orienting public opinion to contribute to creating high consensus in society.

Affirming the role of the press as a bridge between the State and businesses and vice versa; Proposing important recommendations and solutions to improve working skills and professional ethics for journalists when writing and reporting on businesses; Building a communication strategy for businesses and socio-economic development in the context of deep integration today.

Speaking at the Forum “Press and Enterprises Accompanying for Sustainable Development”, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee Ha Minh Hai emphasized that in the context of economic integration and development, the cooperative relationship between the press and enterprises is becoming increasingly close and inseparable. It can be said that “sharing the same fate” is the way that the press and enterprises need to do most at this time to overcome difficulties and develop together.

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai hopes that together with the Vietnamese press, Kinh te va Do thi newspaper will continue to participate in encouraging and motivating social forces, businesses, and entrepreneurs to build and respond to the innovation and integration process.

Dr. Nguyen Duc Kien - Former Head of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Group shared that with more than 40 years of experience working in the field of policy making, he himself has witnessed many real-life stories showing that the press plays an extremely important role in the success or failure of policies developed and implemented by State management agencies. Without the press leading the way, policies can hardly be widely accepted and unanimously followed by the people.

From the business perspective, General Director of Hanoi Trade Corporation (Hapro) Vu Thanh Son said that through the Forum, the unit has better understood the benefits of new policies, helping businesses increase price competitiveness, expand key export markets.
