On the morning of August 6, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a conference to evaluate the preparations for organizing and ensuring security and order for the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime.

Comrades: Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Head of the Steering Committee for Organizational Preparation, Head of the Security and Order Subcommittee for the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime; Dang Hoang Giang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were functional units of the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs , and National Cyber ​​Security Association.

In his opening speech, Senior Lieutenant General Pham The Tung emphasized: The signing ceremony of the Convention is an important international event, affirming the international community's trust in Vietnam's capacity, commitment and responsibility in addressing global non-traditional security challenges.

The conference is held to review and assess the progress of preparations for the signing ceremony of the Convention and to ensure security and order. On that basis, it is necessary to identify tasks and solutions that need to be highly focused on in the coming time, ensuring the solemn, professional, secure and safe organization of the signing ceremony.

At the Conference, representatives of the Department of Cyber ​​Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for preparation for organization), leaders of the Ministry Office (Standing Committee of Security and Order Subcommittee) reported on the progress of preparations for organization and ensuring security and order for the Convention signing ceremony.

Functional units of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Cyber ​​Security Association focused on discussing and clarifying the situation, achievements, difficulties, obstacles, and recommendations and solutions to speed up the preparation work to organize and ensure security and safety for the Convention signing ceremony.

Concluding the conference, comrade Pham The Tung requested members of the Steering Committee for the preparation of the organization and the Security and Order Subcommittee to unify their awareness of the significance and importance of the organization and security and order assurance work, identifying this as an important political task of the entire political system from now until the end of the event, in which the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs play the core role.

The Deputy Minister requested: The opening ceremony of the Convention must achieve comprehensive results, ensuring three successes: content; ensuring security, safety, respect for protocol and diplomacy; promoting the image, identity, country, people of Vietnam and international friends; at the same time paying attention to continuing to highly promote the experience of organizing and ensuring security and order of recent international conferences, especially the recent P4G Summit; ensuring absolute security and safety, not allowing sudden or unexpected events to occur, not allowing even the smallest error to occur, contributing to the successful organization of the opening ceremony of the Convention.
