On the afternoon of October 23, Hanoi City Police held a conference to disseminate and deploy plans to ensure security and order for the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime and side events.

Speaking at the Conference, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long - Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police Department emphasized the direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security , City Party Committee, and City People's Committee on ensuring security and order at the Convention Signing Ceremony.

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long chaired the conference.

Affirming the special importance of this international event to the image and reputation of Vietnam in general and Hanoi in particular, the Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police requested units to proactively review and complete the entire plan.

Focusing on key contents: Ensuring absolute safety for international delegations, official activities and sideline activities of the event; ensuring order, traffic safety, urban order, maintaining smooth traffic on key routes and areas; strictly implementing fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue measures, proactively preventing terrorism and sabotage.

Raise vigilance, promote responsibility at the highest level, absolutely do not let any mistake happen, no matter how small.

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long emphasized: The entire Capital Police force needs to maximize the results and experiences from the success of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2; continue to spread the image of a friendly, close, peaceful Vietnam; and a civilized, modern and integrated Hanoi in the eyes of international friends.

Speaking at the Conference, Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Hanoi City Police, said: As the unit assigned to preside over the plan to ensure traffic order and safety for the Convention Signing Ceremony, the department will closely coordinate with relevant forces to organize, regulate, and direct traffic to ensure smooth traffic.

Colonel Tran Dinh Nghia requested the Police Commands of wards and grassroots units to strengthen inspection, supervision and monitoring of the performance of tasks, ensuring that each officer and soldier strictly implements the People's Police regulations, maintains etiquette and standard behavior, and demonstrates the image of a brave, professional, friendly and responsible Capital Police soldier in the eyes of the people and international friends.

Concluding the Conference, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long requested relevant units to urgently and synchronously deploy and unify the approved plans; prepare forces and means, ensure absolute security and safety for the signing ceremony and all sideline events; contribute to affirming the position, prestige and image of Vietnam in the international arena, worthy of the trust of the Party, State and people of the Capital.
