When will the problem of school construction 'wrongly built' on land of another province be resolved?

On June 26, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , a leader of the People's Committee of Kon Plong district (Kon Tum province) said that up to now, this locality and Nam Tra My district ( Quang Nam province) have not had a joint working session to resolve the issue of schools being built on Kon Tum land.

According to the leader of Kon Plong district, the district is still waiting for specific instructions from the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee on this issue.

According to this person, because this is an unprecedented event, advisory agencies must carefully review legal regulations on investment and construction to tighten them and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Meanwhile, a leader of the People's Committee of Tra Vinh commune, Nam Tra My district said he hopes the problem will be resolved soon to continue completing civil works.

The leaders of this commune said that the locality's wish is to complete the school building soon in time for the upcoming new school year. Along with that is a suspension bridge for people to use for travel.

As Tuoi Tre Online has reported, recently public opinion has been abuzz with news that the construction of a school and a suspension bridge for people in Tra Vinh commune under construction had to be temporarily halted.

These are two civil works that the Tra Vinh commune government called on benefactors to sponsor to help the people of village 3 of the commune, including a school worth 700 million VND and a suspension bridge over Nuoc Toi stream worth 60 million VND.

While these projects were under construction, the People's Committee of Dak Nen commune (Kon Plong district) made a record forcing the temporary suspension of construction.

According to the People's Committee of Kon Plong district, the construction of schools and suspension bridges in this area is actually within the administrative boundaries of Tu Thon village, Dak Nen commune. In fact, the people living here are people from village 3, Tra Vinh commune, who are encroaching on the territory of Dak Nen commune.

Therefore, the organization of construction works in the administrative boundary of Dak Nen commune needs to be discussed and agreed upon between Kon Tum and Quang Nam provinces and competent authorities before implementation.
