The National History Museum will be open throughout the April 30-May 1 holiday.

According to information from the National History Museum, during the five-day holiday, from Saturday, April 27 to Wednesday, May 1, the museum's exhibition system will be open as usual to serve visitors. In the morning, the museum opens from 8am to 12pm, and in the afternoon, it operates from 1:30pm to 5pm.

The National Museum of History currently preserves and maintains about 200,000 domestic and foreign historical and cultural artifacts and documents.

The National Museum of History is a cultural work located in the central area of ​​Hanoi Capital, close to many places such as Hoan Kiem Lake, The Huc Bridge, Ngoc Son Temple... convenient for tourists to travel.

The National Museum of History currently preserves and maintains about 200,000 domestic and foreign historical and cultural artifacts and documents.

Accordingly, from prehistoric times to 1945, this place gathered about 110,000 relics, antiquities and 20 national treasures.

Many collections are among the rarest and most valuable compared to museums of the same type in the country and the region; some of the artifacts of archaeological cultures from the early Paleolithic period to the early bronze and iron ages, Dong Son culture, ancient Vietnamese enameled pottery, bronze wares of the Le-Nguyen period; Champa stone sculptures, etc.

In addition, the museum also focuses on decorative art collections from countries in the Southeast Asian region and some countries with unique cultures such as China, Japan, India, etc.

The Early 20th Century Art Collection preserves many valuable works of art and architecture.

From the mid-19th century to the present, the museum preserves more than 80,000 documents and artifacts about the country's revolutionary history, the Communist Party of Vietnam , President Ho Chi Minh and the Party's leaders through the ages.

The museum currently has two permanent exhibition systems at two locations. The location at 1 Trang Tien displays Vietnamese history from prehistoric times to the end of the Nguyen Dynasty (1945). The location at 216 Tran Quang Khai displays Vietnamese history from the mid-20th century to the present.

It is known that on April 25, the National Museum of History will officially launch the "Online - Connected - Multimodal" electronic ticket system. This is a product in the smart tourism ecosystem of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, supporting the process of buying and booking tickets for tourists.
