The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has approved the Plan and budget for organizing the Program to Support Research, Restoration, Conservation and Promotion of Intangible Culture of Ethnic Minorities at Risk of Loss.
This is a program under the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in 2024 of the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups.

This program aims to raise awareness of the work of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic minorities, highlighting the role of cultural subject capacity of artisans, village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people and ethnic minorities in ethnic minority areas in the current period; proposing solutions to preserve and promote the cultural identity of ethnic minorities associated with effective tourism development in the coming time.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires that research and preservation of cultural arts must be carried out synchronously with the dissemination of the Party and State's policies and guidelines on preserving traditional culture; and that plans for the development of intangible culture and tourism be regularly disseminated and integrated into programs for research, preservation and promotion of intangible culture of ethnic minorities at risk of extinction.
In the Plan, the Ministry assigned the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Ethnic Culture and relevant units and localities to implement support, research, restoration, preservation and promotion of the weaving craft of the Dao ethnic group (Dao Tien group), Cao Son commune, Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province; Support research, restoration, preservation and promotion of Pao Dung singing and embroidery of traditional costumes of the Dao ethnic group (Dao Tien group) in Binh Trung commune, Cho Don district, Bac Kan province.
In particular, the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures coordinates with relevant units to organize investigations, surveys, and assessments of the current status of weaving in Hoa Binh, Pao Dung singing, and embroidery in Bac Kan; propose solutions to preserve and promote the values of the above heritages; organize training and vocational training for artisans; take photos, record videos, and make documentary films about the process of organizing training classes, print DVDs to distribute to the community, promote at the Museum, and promote on the Internet (Museum website, Youtube, Facebook) to serve the work of preserving and promoting traditional culture of ethnic minorities.
