Caught a facility allowing more than 10 workers to inject impurities into shrimp

Accordingly, after a period of monitoring, at about 3:30 p.m. on June 23, the Interdisciplinary Inspection Team including the Inspectorate of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Management of Agricultural, Forestry and Fishery Product Quality of Bac Lieu Province, in coordination with the Economic Security Department of the Provincial Police, with the support of the Phuoc Long District Police, suddenly inspected a raw shrimp purchasing facility in the area owned by Mr. Tran Van Hau (born in 1982), residing in Phuoc Long Commune, Phuoc Long District.

At the time of inspection, the authorities discovered that more than 10 workers inside the facility were injecting impurities into 37kg of raw black tiger shrimp. The inspection showed that all of these shrimp contained Agar impurities.

Working with the inspection team, the representative of the facility owner could not present the business registration certificate of the business household.

The inspection team drew up a record of administrative violations and temporarily detained all the tiger shrimp for handling according to the law.
