Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang was temporarily detained for insulting organizations and individuals on social networks.

The Investigation Police Agency of Dong Hoi City Police, Quang Binh Province, has decided to prosecute Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang, 61 years old, residing in residential group 8, Nam Ly ward, Dong Hoi city for a period of 3 months on the charge of "Abusing democratic freedoms to infringe upon the interests of the State, the legitimate rights and interests of organizations and individuals".

Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang was arrested for abusing democratic freedoms.

During the investigation, the police agency determined that in April 2023, after hearing the Trial Council of the People's Court of Quang Binh province announce the verdict in the first instance civil case: "Dispute over land use rights and request to cancel the land use rights certificate", Ms. Hang said that the Trial Council's verdict was incorrect.

Afterwards, Ms. Hang repeatedly used her personal Facebook account "Nguyen Thu Hang" to broadcast live on social media with words that cursed, insulted the honor, and humiliated the personal dignity of the Judge presiding over the trial.

In addition, from March to May this year, Ms. Nguyen Thu Hang repeatedly used her personal Facebook account to post self-recorded clips with abusive language, causing disorder at agencies such as the Nam Ly Ward People's Committee headquarters, the Dong Hoi City Department of Education and Training, and the Dong Hoi City Inspectorate.

During live broadcasts and clips posted on social networks, Ms. Hang insulted the honor and dignity of ward leaders, Dong Hoi City Inspectorate and a number of officials of agencies and units.
