On April 12, 2024, Ben Luc District People's Committee organized the announcement of Document No. 223/TTg-NN dated April 4, 2024 of the Prime Minister on changing the purpose of using rice-growing land to other purposes to implement the Thanh Phu Commune Ecological Urban Area, Trade and Tourism Project.
Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of the district's specialized departments and branches, leaders of the Party Committee - People's Committee of Thanh Phu commune and 964 households from hamlets 3, 4 and Thanh Hiep hamlet.
According to this document, the Government approved the Long An Provincial People's Committee's decision to change the purpose of using 201 hectares of rice-growing land to non -agricultural land to implement the Thanh Phu Commune Ecological Urban Area, Trade and Tourism Project. The Provincial People's Committee is responsible for ensuring economical and effective land use, avoiding loss and waste, and is responsible for inspecting and supervising the separation and use of the topsoil layer according to the provisions of law.
The district's Project Management and Construction Investment Board also informed the people about the progress of the Thanh Phu Commune Ecological Urban Area, Trade and Tourism Project. This project has a total area of over 220 hectares, and has been carrying out land and property inventory on the land.
Land prices are expected to be approved before September 30, 2024. Land recovery decisions and plans will be issued by October 31, 2024. Compensation, support and resettlement payments are expected to begin in December 2024.
