On the afternoon of June 11, Military Hospital 7 (Department of Logistics and Engineering, Military Region 3) held a scientific conference to update clinical practice guidelines for managing hypertension 5D from the Vietnam Hypertension Association - Vietnam Cardiology Association 2024 (abbreviated as VNHA/VSH).
Updating the clinical practice guidelines for blood pressure management 5D plays a very important role in improving treatment effectiveness, especially in the context of limited blood pressure control rates in the community. The conference aims to update new points, guidelines for treating hypertension with multiple risk factors and medical treatment for post-stroke patients; thereby consolidating and improving the professional capacity of hospital staff in medical examination and treatment, and health care for soldiers and people.
At the conference, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Ly, Deputy Director of the Cardiovascular Center, Hanoi Medical University Hospital, provided a lot of useful information on hypertension management strategies; hypertension classification, cardiovascular risk stratification, target blood pressure levels in treatment and clinical practice strategies for managing 5D hypertension in Vietnam.
The 5D management of hypertension includes blood pressure measurement; comprehensive patient assessment; individualized treatment; treatment response and adequate adherence.
