Vietnam Social Security stops sending lookup messages to number 8079

Previously, at the end of 2018, Vietnam Social Security deployed the above-mentioned text message lookup service via the number 8079. When using these text message lookup services, users will pay the service provider a fee of VND 1,000/text message. Up to now, in addition to the above text message lookup, people and businesses have had many other free lookup options provided by Vietnam Social Security, such as through: "VssID - Digital Social Insurance" application; Vietnam Social Security Electronic Information Portal; Vietnam Social Security Public Service Portal.

In addition, according to the provisions of Clause 6, Article 21 of the Law on Social Insurance: Employers are responsible for "Every 6 months, publicly posting information on social insurance payments for employees; providing information on social insurance payments of employees when requested by employees or trade unions".

Accordingly, it is no longer necessary for the Vietnam Social Security sector to continue providing the SMS lookup service via the number 8079. After the Vietnam Social Security stops providing the above SMS lookup services, people and businesses can use other free information lookup service channels of the sector such as: "Lookup social insurance participation time", "Lookup health insurance card validity period" via: "VssID - Digital Social Insurance" application or the Online Lookup function on the Vietnam Social Security Electronic Information Portal (https://baohiemxahoi.gov.vn); "Lookup submitted records, record status" via: Lookup function on the Vietnam Social Security Public Service Portal (https://dichvucong.baohiemxahoi.gov.vn); “Reissue password for electronic social insurance transaction account” via: Forgot password function on “VssID - Digital Social Insurance” application or Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal (password will be provided via email address that people declare when registering for electronic social insurance transaction account).

In case when registering for an electronic social insurance transaction account, people do not have information about their email address, they can add their email address through the following channels: Make a declaration form TK1-TS to declare additional email information through the electronic social insurance transaction of the unit or service organization that is managing it; Make a declaration form to change and add information to register for using electronic transactions in the field of social insurance according to Form No. 02/SD-GD, submit directly to the nearest social insurance agency; Contact the Customer Support and Care Service Center directly via hotline 1900.9068 to receive support for re-issuing the password of the electronic social insurance transaction account.
