At the meeting, Mr. Lee Jin Wook, Deputy General Director of Samsung Electronics Semiconductor Factory in Pyeongtaek City, informed the delegation about Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's visit to Samsung Pyeongtaek Factory on July 3 and said that Samsung highly appreciated Vietnam's positivity and potential in participating in the global semiconductor supply chain. Director Lee Jin Wook expressed his impression of Da Nang 's efforts in building Da Nang into a potential semiconductor investment destination in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang said that semiconductor microchips are a key area that the city is interested in investing in, creating a driving force for breakthrough socio -economic development in the coming time. Da Nang is one of the pioneering localities in implementing the Vietnamese Government's policy on developing the semiconductor industry.

Based on its strengths, Da Nang is focusing on building a development strategy focusing on chip and microcircuit design, gradually developing testing and packaging. Currently, the city is focusing on training high-quality human resources for this field, while preparing the necessary conditions to meet the needs of businesses and investors when coming to the city. In particular, Da Nang has been allowed by the National Assembly to apply outstanding preferential policies for strategic investors and strategic partners in the field of semiconductor microcircuits such as tax incentives, access to land, infrastructure, human resource development policies, etc. The Secretary of the City Party Committee proposed that Samsung study investment opportunities in Da Nang; pay attention to supporting the city in training high-quality human resources in the above fields.
