Also attending were Tam Ky City Party Secretary Nguyen Thi Thu Lan; Political Commissar of Quang Nam Border Guard - Colonel Hoang Van Man; representatives of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, and Tam Ky City People's Committee.

Lieutenant Colonel Lam Van Quan - Head of Tam Thanh Border Guard Station said that the unit is responsible for managing and protecting 24.5km of coastline, in charge of 3 communes including Tam Thanh (Tam Ky City) and Tam Tien, Tam Hoa (Nui Thanh).

In 2024, the unit organized 107 patrols to protect the maritime border; coordinated with local forces to patrol and protect the area 326 times; completed export and import procedures for 5,050 workers and nearly 1,000 vehicles operating at sea.

Notably, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station investigated, completed the initial file, initiated criminal proceedings and handed over all files, suspects and exhibits to the police investigation agency in 2 drug-related cases. Coordinated investigations into 17 cases with 30 suspects, thereby imposing administrative fines of hundreds of millions of dong.

The station is sponsoring 3 students under the program “Helping children go to school”, supporting 500,000 VND per month and 1 student under the model “Adopted child of the border station”. Officers and soldiers participated in 8 forest fire fighting campaigns and supported the relocation, reinforcement of houses, and calling for boats to come ashore during 2 storms that affected the mainland.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, in addition to the task of strictly maintaining combat readiness, Tam Thanh Border Guard Station has fully prepared standard regimes for soldiers according to regulations, organized many activities to take care of the New Year to help officers and soldiers feel secure in their work.

At the same time, visit and give gifts to 20 policy households and give Tet gifts to students of the program "Helping children go to school" and "Adopted children of border guards" with production resources.

During the visit, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet highly appreciated the sense of responsibility "serving the people" of officers and soldiers of Tam Thanh Border Guard Station, especially in patrolling, protecting border sovereignty , supporting people in storm prevention and propagating policies and laws.

The Provincial Party Secretary also requested Tam Thanh Border Guard Station to always raise vigilance in crime prevention and protection of maritime border sovereignty.

“Border guards and soldiers must make great efforts and be highly determined to overcome difficulties and challenges, successfully complete assigned tasks and achieve many achievements to celebrate the province's major holidays in 2025. Provincial leaders will always pay attention and take care of the border guards so that they have favorable conditions to perform their functions and tasks,” Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet sent his best wishes and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Tam Thanh Border Guard Station; presented Tet gifts to Cua Lo Border Guard Station (Nui Thanh) and the "adopted child" of Tam Thanh Border Guard Station.

Leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Committee of Tam Ky City and the Provincial Border Guard also presented Tet gifts to Tam Thanh Border Guard Station.
