Binh Duong: Nearly 1,000 women receive support to start businesses and start businesses

In addition, the Association also coordinated and supported the establishment of 81 cooperative groups and 13 cooperatives managed by women. At the same time, it supported 1,500 newly established enterprises by women, provided consulting, business development, and participated in startup festivals.

According to the Binh Duong Women's Union, after 8 years of implementing the Project (2018-2025), 2,383 newly established enterprises, cooperatives, cooperative groups, and individual business households of women have been consulted and supported to develop their businesses through many forms. Thereby, many enterprises have expanded their scale, improved product quality; many products have been recognized as meeting provincial OCOP standards and expanding their consumption markets through digital platforms, creating stable jobs for local female workers.

In addition, 70% of female members in the area are educated and have their awareness raised about jobs and startups.

The leader of the Binh Duong Provincial Women's Union said that Project 939 has been actively and effectively implemented by all levels of the provincial Women's Union with many solutions and diverse and practical activities such as: Implementing Women's Entrepreneurship Day activities, training to improve business capacity for women with startup ideas; mobilizing and guiding the establishment of enterprises and cooperatives owned by women.

Activities to raise women's awareness of entrepreneurship have also taken place vigorously. The Women's Union at all levels has actively coordinated with functional sectors to propagate Project 939, the Party's policies, the State's legal policies on entrepreneurship, business development, the role of women in economic development in diverse and rich forms, suitable for each group of women, using Zalo and Facebook of the Union to propagate policies, programs related to women's entrepreneurship, successful women's entrepreneurship examples, establishing associations, online sales groups... to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among women of all classes.

Project 939 in Binh Duong province demonstrates high suitability with the local socio-economic development orientation, meets the needs of women and related departments, branches and sectors, and makes an important contribution to enhancing the role of women in entrepreneurship and economic development.
