Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Gia District People's Committee shared: To implement investment in infrastructure projects, the District People's Committee directed the People's Committees of communes to review the essential infrastructure system, propose a list of priority investment projects in the period of 2021-2025; request the People's Committees of communes to commit to mobilizing people to donate land to create land for construction of public investment projects as well as projects using capital from national target programs.
Consolidating highly connected traffic infrastructure has been the number one priority of Binh Gia district in the past time. In the period of 2021-2025, the district has invested in 110 traffic projects from public investment capital and national target program capital. Thereby, 161 km of commune roads have been solidified with a total investment of more than 400 billion VND. Of which, from 2021 to the end of 2024, the District People's Committee has completed the investment of 100 projects, in 2025 the District People's Committee is implementing 11 projects with a total investment of more than 37 billion VND.
Every year, the District People's Committee prioritizes the purchase of cement to provide to the People's Committees of communes to promote the hardening of village and alley roads to improve internal travel conditions for residential areas in the form of the State supporting people to do it themselves. From 2021 to now, the whole district has hardened about 90 km of village and alley roads, and all kinds of inner-field roads, and people have donated nearly 40 hectares of land to expand the roadbeds.
In the period of 2021-2025, the total number of essential infrastructure projects invested in Binh Gia district is 251 projects, with a total investment of 753.1 billion VND. Of which, 110 commune-level roads with a length of 161 km are invested; 66 school projects; 19 cultural houses and functional rooms of commune cultural houses; 18 village cultural houses; 5 commune health stations; 8 rural electricity supply projects; 12 irrigation projects; 7 centralized domestic water projects; 2 commune People's Committee headquarters and 4 commune market renovation projects. |
Hoa Tham is a particularly difficult commune of Binh Gia district with the largest natural area of the district, up to 113 km2, including 8 villages with nearly 4,000 people. The commune has a very large traffic system with: 38.8 km of commune roads; 12.6 km of village roads; 24.5 km of alley roads.
By the end of 2023, in Hoa Tham commune, only 23/38.8km, 3.4/12.6km of village roads and 14/24.5km of alley roads had been concreted. To complete the concrete construction of all commune, village and alley roads to meet new rural standards, in 2024, the District People's Committee invested over 30 billion VND to concrete an additional 15.8km of commune roads; 6.9km of village roads and 4.05km of alley roads. Thanks to that, up to now, the whole commune has concreted 100% of commune roads, the rate of concreted village roads is 81.65%, and alley roads is 73.64%.
According to data from the People's Committee of Binh Gia district, if at the end of 2020, the rate of hardening of roads to the commune center of the district reached 83.3%, then by April 2025 it had reached 100% (exceeding the target set by the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term). The system of village, alley, and intra-field roads, the hardening rate all exceeded the target set for the 2021-2025 period. Specifically, up to now, the entire village road is 82.2 km long, 47.7% of which has been hardened (38.9% at the beginning of the term); the alley road is 589.8 km long, 49.5% of which has been concreted (40% at the beginning of the term); the main intra-field road is 7 km long, 84.7% of which has been hardened (37% at the beginning of the term).
In addition, in the period of 2021-2025, the People's Committee of Binh Gia district also invested in 141 projects of domestic electricity, irrigation, domestic water supply, schools, village cultural houses, and commune cultural houses to promote production development and improve the material and spiritual life of the people.
Ms. Vi Thi Phung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh Commune, Binh Gia District, said: Hoa Binh is a particularly difficult commune, with a fragmented population. In 2021, through a review, the total length of rural roads in the commune was 25.8 km, but the rate of hardening was only 9.68%; the whole commune has 4 villages, only 2 of which have cultural houses. From 2022 to now, the commune has received attention from the District People's Committee for investment in essential infrastructure works, thanks to which, by the beginning of April 2025, the length of the commune's rural roads system was hardened to 12.5/25.8 km, equivalent to 48.4% and 4/4 villages had cultural houses.
With the effective investment in the right direction of the People's Committee of Binh Gia district in the period of 2021-2025, the essential infrastructure system of the district has been gradually improved, helping to change the rural appearance of the district, contributing significantly to promoting production development and improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
