Binh Lieu: Police effectively carry out new tasks

From March 1, 2025, Binh Lieu Town Police were assigned a number of additional tasks such as: Responsible for procedures for issuing and exchanging ID cards; issuing and exchanging driver's licenses; receiving registration, issuing license plates for cars and motorbikes; issuing criminal records; patrolling, controlling, and handling traffic violations on routes under their management... On the basis of being supplemented with additional forces to ensure timely implementation of assigned requirements and tasks, Binh Lieu Town Police have established many working groups to perform tasks such as: Consulting, managing order, security in the area and preventing and combating crime. Identifying this as a large amount of work, in order to perform this new task well, Binh Lieu Town Police have thoroughly instructed all officers and soldiers in the unit to focus on researching, approaching and mastering related administrative procedures, creating the most favorable conditions for people when needed.

From March 1 to April 30, Binh Lieu Town Police issued 322 ID cards to citizens.

From March 1 to April 30, 2025, Binh Lieu Town Police issued 322 ID cards to citizens, including 31 new ones; 291 new ones; 54 electronic identifications; 17 organizational identifications; 94 records were transmitted to PC06; 7 new vehicle registrations were issued; 2 cars were registered; 92 cars and motorbikes were registered for the first time; 10 license plate registrations were revoked for 2 cars and 8 motorbikes;...

Binh Lieu town currently has 16 wards, a large area. Therefore, immediately after stabilizing the organization, the unit promptly advised the People's Committee of Binh Lieu town to organize campaigns to prevent and combat drugs and social evils; campaigns to protect the environment; at the same time, proactively coordinate with functional forces to patrol and control in areas with complicated security and order; effectively implement plans of superiors.

Lieutenant Colonel Vi Thanh Tuan, Chief of Binh Lieu Town Police, said: “Immediately after receiving the new assignment and determining that this is a more difficult task, we urgently reviewed the work for each locality and field; at the same time, added new content and tasks to the unit's work program and plan. In addition, the unit also requires officers and soldiers to proactively study documents, improve their legal and professional qualifications to meet the requirements of the task, ensuring that no locality or field is left vacant, and that security and order complications do not arise. In order to maintain good performance in all aspects of the work, the unit has increased the number of staff on duty outside of office hours, on night duty to ensure timely receipt and handling of crime reports and denunciations, and to do a good job of ensuring security and order throughout the area; at the same time, to do a good job of handling administrative procedures for organizations and individuals, not to interrupt work, cause trouble, or affect the rights of the people”.

Binh Lieu Town Police coordinated with Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department of Quang Ninh Province to check the documents of motorbike owners traveling on the road.

At the same time, Binh Lieu Town Police also continued to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to actively participate in the movement of All People Protecting National Security and Fire Prevention and Fighting.

It can be seen that, although there are still many difficulties, up to this point, by strengthening resources, authority and responsibility, along with establishing close links, it shows that all aspects of work and fields in administrative management of social order, crime prevention and control, social evils and the movement of the whole people to protect national security in Binh Lieu town are gradually being implemented more effectively and in depth. Binh Lieu town police have been making efforts to promote their core role in protecting security and order, contributing to building the image of a strong and comprehensive communal police force, meeting the requirements and tasks of ensuring security and order in the locality in all situations.
