Kinhtedothi- The People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province will hold a conference to announce the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, on December 14. This is an important milestone to help Binh Phuoc exploit its geographical advantages and develop sustainably with the goal of becoming a modern industrial province by 2030.
The planning of Binh Phuoc province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1489/QD-TTg dated November 24, 2023 and adjusted in Decision No. 1259/QD-TTg dated October 24, 2024.
Binh Phuoc province's planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, is established on the basis of the entire natural area of the province with 6,873.56 km2; in line with the orientation and vision for national development.
Specific goals by 2030: average GRDP growth rate reaches 9%; digital economy accounts for 30% of GRDP; average GRDP/person reaches 180 million VND; average labor productivity growth rate reaches about 7%/year.
By 2050, Binh Phuoc strives to become a modern, prosperous and civilized industrial province, becoming one of the important economic growth poles of the Southeast region, equivalent to the provinces with a fairly developed level of the whole country.
The province prioritizes the development of inter-regional transport infrastructure such as the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway and the Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) - Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) expressway. These are two key transport projects of Binh Phuoc province in the coming time.
In addition, the province also prioritizes training a workforce with qualifications, skills, and professionalism to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable socio-economic development. Attracting, restructuring, and improving the quality of labor resources with focus and key points; focusing on social security for long-term stability and development.
Currently, Binh Phuoc province has 15 industrial parks approved by the Government in operation, attracting foreign investment capital of more than 4 billion USD, attracting domestic investment capital of more than 18,000 billion VND, with more than 72,000 workers.
According to the new plan, Binh Phuoc province mobilizes resources to develop the industrial park network. By 2030, the scale of industrial park development in the province will reach 18,105 hectares. The whole province will develop 32 industrial clusters with a total area of about 1,830 hectares.
The conference to announce the Binh Phuoc Provincial Planning will take place tomorrow (December 14) at the Conference Center of Binh Phuoc Provincial Political School.
At the conference, Binh Phuoc province will grant investment certificates to 31 projects with a total investment capital of 620.5 million USD. The province will also grant memorandums of understanding on cooperation between the Binh Phuoc People's Committee and enterprises.
Also within the framework of the announcement ceremony of Binh Phuoc Province Planning, important events will take place including: inauguration of phase 1 of the automobile tire factory at Minh Hung - Sikico Industrial Park; groundbreaking ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway project, section through Binh Phuoc province and announcement of phase 2 - Becamex - Binh Phuoc Industrial Park.
